About us I am Laetitia and I reside in a beautiful village in West Penwith, Cornwall with my partner Cassandra. We live in a small granite cottage built in the 1800s which has a huge fireplace that makes a perfect hearth altar for our magical work. The cottage is set back behind two others and can be reached by walking along a narrow gravel pathway, edged with flowers and plants and enclosed by hedges. There is a small garden at the front that contains a rockery and water feature, a small twisted hazel tree and a variety of different flowers and plants. There is also a small stone bench where we can sit and listen to the running water, the birds chattering and simply enjoying nature. Behind the cottage are fields and a beautiful view of the landscape, we can see Chapel Carn Brea in the distance, the first and last hill in the UK. I have qualified as a Beauty Therapist and went on to Holistic Therapies, as I felt the need to work deeper with clients. I teach Reiki courses and have done a course in Spiritual Healing and am a Spirit Medium, doing readings and platform work at the local Spritualist Church. My magical path began in Kent, I wanted to find out about Witchcraft and met someone who introduced me to the Pagan Dawn magazine and lent me books to read on Hedgewitchery. I began my own studies for a year before I tried my own rituals and magical work. I then contacted someone who was running an Egyptian Magical group and joined for a while. I loved the energies of Egyptian magic and also made a connection with Sekhmet the warrior Sun Goddess. After leaving this group I became a member of a Morris dancing team, where I met a Gardnerian Priestess. We formed a group with 3 other members and I learnt how the Gardnerian groups work. Not long after this group dissolved, I approached an Alexandrian Priest and Priestess and requested to join their group as I knew them to be good teachers. I was initiated into the Alexandrian group and was pleased with the mix of Egyptian energies with that of Wicca. This was all very good basic training for me and I knew the Wiccan way was brought about in the 1950s, this did not satisfy me, I wanted more of the Older Craft. During years of planning to move to Cornwall when I was networking to get to know fellow Pagans here, I answered an advertisement for a Cornish magical group written by Gemma Gary in 2003 and gradually got to know her and Jane Cox via emails and meeting during visits here. I strongly felt that I belonged in Cornwall and there was a reason for it. I had been told during a reading I had past life connections here. Through an unusual line of events and my friendship with Gemma and Jane, I met Cassandra who was seeking someone to hand on her public work to after her retirement. I have now worked alongside Cassandra studying the Cunning Craft for 3 years and learnt a great deal. This year (2011) I am starting my own magical group "The Hearth Betwixt The Horns". I enjoy this work immensely and live in a beautiful place. What more could I ask.
